Helen offers Supervision to early career Registered Psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists.
She is especially keen to support those wanting to enhance their skills and knowledge in EMDR therapy and working with Asian Australian client presentations so they become more culturally informed and responsive in their practice.
Supervision Style & Approach
Whilst recognising the importance of collaboration and having a reflective space, Helen prefers offering a directive style of learning whereby new specific ideas and perspectives are shared with her supervises so they may put these into practice. Helen’s strength as a supervisor lies in her ability to explain complex concepts using simple examples and analogies.
Helen fosters confidence in her supervisees by providing a flexible learning space. She encourages her supervises to come to supervision with questions and specific case presentations in mind and will work with her supervisee to clarify their learning goals and preferred method of learning.
