About True You Psychology
What Does it Really Mean to Just “Be Yourself”?
True You Psychology recognises that accessing authenticity isn’t as straightforward for some Asian Australians as it sounds, especially those that have been shaped by traumatic experiences.
How are you supposed to be the True You when you don’t really know who that is? Maybe you’ve spent most of your life approval seeking, and being someone that your family or culture wanted you to be. Maybe you’ve come to ‘learn’ that your worth, your connections and sense of belonging are conditional. The T’s and C’s include you forever shapeshifting to cater to the needs of others. How are you supposed to just opt-out of this ingrained cycle of being someone else?
And even when you finally meet your true self, how do you convince them that it is safe to let go of the old templates of being?
True You Psychology aims to support you through unlearning the lessons of the past and guiding you to grow more confident in who you really want to be so you can live the life you actually want to live.
Let us start help you heal from past experience so that you can finally access real authenticity.
