A relatable and caring psychologist.

Hey there! Here’s a little bit about me.

My love for counselling and psychology began during my adolescent years when 1 herself first experienced the safety, empowerment and resilience that effective counselling could foster. As someone who is self-aware, warm and easily attuned to the needs of others, I recognised that a career in psychology would allow me to help others in a way I knew to be personally meaningful and aligned with my most authentic self.

I have experience working across multiple settings including primary and secondary schools, forensic settings and private practice.

I’m a full member of the EMDRAA (EMDR Association of Australia) and am completing my training requirements to become an EMDR Accredited Practitioner.

My special interests are in in working with Asian-Australians, trauma and anxiety disorders. I’m passionate about adolescent mental health and enjoy supporting older adolescents in navigating the transition from high school into adulthood.

When I’m not in the office, you’re likely to find me Op-shopping or trying out new restaurants with friends. I’m always in the mood for a true crime doco and love horror movies. I’m a big introvert, or as I prefer to say, ‘selectively social’. My favourite colour is pink.

Counselling style & treatment approach

To me, good therapy is about more than just listening and validating. I know that it’s important to you that you can learn about WHY you are the way you are, and HOW you can manage symptoms with practical skills.

We’ll work together to clarify your specific therapy goals, whether this involves symptom reduction or delving deeper to understand and ‘unlearn’ patterns of the past.

I will tailor a range of therapeutic methods to meet your specific treatment needs. My counselling takes an integrative psychotherapeutic approach that is based on principles of:

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

  • Solution-focused therapy

  • Mindfulness
